Brilliant effort by all 9 of the team

On an unusually sunny and warm day in mid October, 9 ladies rolled up to St Vincent's College to play Gosport. It was always going to be a tricky task for them.
This proved to be true. The first half was largely based on the defence working their socks off to prevent the ball crossing the goal line. Despite a sterling effort by everyone, a few goals crept across the line before half time.
A quick share of some very radioactive looking Haribo sweets at half time seemed to perk them all up and the team regrouped well, kept their heads held high and in the second half worked in a much closer formation and actually said hello to Gosports goalie-twice!
The team kept their heads up throughout and didn't let the goal fest get them down, ending in a 10-0 defeat.
Special mentions must go to Ellen who played very confidently in her first lady's match and to Man of the Match, Kayleigh who had plenty of match practice and battled steadily, keeping out many goals for the whole of the two halves.
