Match Report: Ladies 2nd XI

Sonning 1-2 Yateley

So our first away game of the season took us up to Sonning with a strong 2’s squad despite only 12 of us. Dobbers was injured but was determined to not let us down with the Hobbit /Dobbers duo at the back.

We started off strong with some great play, but Sonning caught us out on the break and scored early on. This did not deter us and everyone was up for a win making sure we were first to the ball. A great run down the right hand side from Milly and a lovely slip to the P spot and Jules popped it in-between the keepers legs.

This lifted us even more and carried on keeping most of the play in our 1/2. After a few short corners KJ tonked a lovely goal past the defence.

1/2 time we were all a bit red from all the hard work but all determined to keep going. Sonning came out with a bit more structure and the defence worked hard to keep them at bay some great defensive blocks.

Unfortunately Hobbit went down about 5 mins before end with a nasty fall and hand injury - get well soon.
We knuckled down despite all being exhausted managed to keep the score 2-1
Brilliant game well played everyone.

MoM - Hard to choose as a real team effort and went 3 ways: Hils, Alana and Milly

DoD - Grace for white socks and being late.
