Match Report: Ladies 2nd XI 9th Nov

Yateley 0-5 Poole

The Ladies 2’s took on top of the league Poole on a very cold and wet afternoon!

We knew it was going to be a tough one, but we were all aligned in our thinking, with our only outcome being to snatch 3 points!

YHC started off very positive and strong in attack and were unlucky to not get a couple of goals in quick succession!

Shortly after Poole came back at us on a break and managed to go 1 up... this didn’t deter the 2’s and we kept battling looking for an equaliser.

Sadly, just before the half time whistle Poole won 3 short corners on the bounce and managed to convert..

This took us to 2-0 at half time, but still feeling very much in the game!

Half time team talk was positive and we all knew what we needed to do!

However, with the rain pouring harder and the cold hitting, it affected both sides game!

YHC had some further chances to score, many short corners, but couldn’t quite hit the back board...

We then lost one of our strikers to injury whilst making a great attack in their D..

The match ended 5-0 so we didn’t get our 3 points, but we played our socks off regardless!

The oppo did comment that it was their hardest match so far this season which we’ll take as a compliment!

Onwards and upwards for next week where we take on Andover 2’s away!
