Match Report: Ladies 2nd XI

Bournemouth 1-1 Yateley

Ladies 2s Saturday 12th October
A trip to bournemouth seaside in the glorious...... rain! Instead of going to the beach to build sandcastles we lucked out and got to play hockey on a sandy pitch instead!

For only a couple of games into the season the ladies 2s team played the first ten minutes like they'd been playing together for years. Passes were expertly executed, there was some brilliant one twos and the ball was continuously ran into the 'd' with some great team work all the way down the pitch.

Unfortunately we just couldn't get the ball past the keeper and the oppo managed to score against us in the middle of the first half. Yateley’s heads went down slightly, but we kept on fighting and kept on doing some great runs down the wings and into the d.

With less than ten minutes towards the end of the game nat managed to get a great sneaky shot past the keeper bringing the score to 1-1.

Yateley tried relentlessly to get another goal but sadly we're unsuccessful and finished the game with a 1-1 draw.

A special mention to Clara, who got the well deserved accolade of man of the match, for her brilliant and relentless hard work and demonstration of continuous positivity on the pitch.

The oldies of the team stayed on for a night out in Bournemouth with a different kind of shots lined up for the rest of the night...
