Match Report: Ladies 2s 5th Oct

Yateley 8-0 Fareham

The ladies 2s made a confident start, partly inspired by the opposition's lack of goal keeper, the team swiftly worked the ball up the middle with a nice simple goal from Gemma, tapped in to end the move.

Janette's nerves were settled. Another followed in quick succession and by half time Yateley were 4-0 up, with goals from Caty and KJ.

Fareham came out fighting for the second half, forcing some solid defending and some unconventional saves from Gill. The oppo packed their defense, so Yateley had to work a lot harder for their goals. Gemma made the most of her time as an attacker and scored another 2. (Thanks for the jug!). Janette, Nat and KJ all had chances but we're cleared off the line. A short corner saw a goal for KJ followed shortly by another from Janette. Fareham had a few late breaks, but Yateley defense held firm and kept a clean sheet. Well Done Ladies!
