Match Report: Ladies 2nd XI 28th Sept

Aldershot & Farnham 1-1 Yateley

Yateley 2s started their season with a local derby against Aldershot and Farnham 3s.

The first half started with Yateley playing well and challenging the Aldershot defence. After getting an early short corner and almost converting to a goal, it gave us the confidence to push and get ourselves 1-0 up with a great pass from JCG and a cracking finish from Caty. Unfortunately a quick break from the Aldershot forwards overloaded the defender and allowed them to equalise.

Following a rules disagreement we moved into half time to regroup (we were definitely right though). We came out fighting to show we were the better team and outside influences would not get the better of us.

We finished the game off with some great pressure in the oppo’s D but couldn’t quite get one in the back of the net...
