In the second third Yateley started to dominate and a fantastic passing move was finished by Sam to the delight of an enthusiastic crowd. Callum (who was playing centre back) was then caught out of position on left wing where he was able to convert from a tight angle to make it 2-0.

In the final third both teams had chances but it was Winchester who managed to score to set up a tense final 10 minutes. Despite goalmouth scrambles at both ends the boys managed to see it out for their second league win of the season.

All boys really battled hard and managed to keep their shape under pressure. They were also complemented by the umpire and the opposition coach for the way they played and their attitude on the pitch.

Directions to Winchester University, Milland Road SO23 0QA:
From South, exit Junction 10 of M3. Into middle lane (City) for the roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Take the 2nd exit. Turn right at traffic lights and pass Murco petrol station on left.
For the pitch parking, carry straight on at the mini roundabout and take the next right into Milland Road. The pitch entrance is approximately 400 yards on the right. For the Park and Ride Car Park, turn left at the mini roundabout (there is a charge £2-3). Cross back over road and, assuming gate is open, take the pathway to the pitch which you will be able to see ahead of you.
