Mens 3s were two inches away from scoring an equaliser with the last play of the game as Camberley and Farnborough ran out 4-3 winners in the late game at the ESA.
Camberley & Farnborough were the better team for the first 15 minutes, scoring two quick goals from short corners (one direct strike and one from a penalty flick). Yateley then played themselves into the game, and were unlucky not to score themselves before the break - at one point we had 7 short corners in a row, but couldn't get the ball into the net.
Yateley started the second half the better team, but could not get onto the score sheet. Unfortunately it was Camberley & Farnborough who scored next, yet again from a (very soft?!) short corner. Yateley did eventually manage to get onto the score sheet 5 minutes later via a wonderful direct strike from a short corner from Cam Foan. Unfortunately Camberley were awarded another penalty flick after another short corner to make the score 4-1 with 15 minutes to go.
However Yateley are never defeated until the final whistle goes. Louis Farrell scored after a good run from Jack Beeken-Syme, then Cameron Foan got his second from a short corner with a reverse hit strike which deflected off a defender's stick to make it 4-3 of 5 minutes to go. Yateley pushed and pushed for the equaliser (which would arguably been a fair result!) but it wasn't to be.
