Yateley 3 2 - 6 Wimborne Wayfarers

This week capt David Woods didn't lock himself in the toilet so was present for the full warm up and toss - the same could not be said for James Woolner who selfishly refused to abandond his young children in the car to join in and instead waited for his wife's arrival.

Yateley started brightly (always a bad sign) and created a few clear chances, which were missed or in Phil Cundy's case you just refuse to actually shoot. Despite being on his own in the middle of the D. Twice.

A shocking short corner decision against Nick Parker resulted in us going 1 down. Parity was restored when David Woods fantastically deflected in Dean Pask's great pass (had to work once in the last 6 years). Sadly a Wimborne counter saw them regain the lead despite Dan Bilton's best efforts.

Great work down the right from Phil Cundy saw his cross sent goal bound by Dean Pask but with a defender scrambling across Stuart Brimble forced over the line from 2.34 inches to make sure.

2-2 at half time and game on. Well that was the plan. 4 unanswered goals in about 15 minutes as Yateley lost control of the midfield and it was game over. Yateley continued to try and the workrate remained despite being left with 11 from half-time due to an injury to Lee Clarke (game changing clearly!)
