Yateley started very brightly controlling possession and the game, with Pete Little a standout influence in the centre of midfield. They were finally rewarded when young striker Sam Edwards finished well, beating the keeper at his near post. The rest of the half was much the same with Yateley dominating possession but lacking a crucial 2nd goal before half-time - Jake Smith did have a valid goal incorrectly disallowed. Blame went to Stu Brimble for looking like he kicked it in.
In the second half Yateley's possession diminished, probably due to some tiring legs, but their goal tally increased. Captain Woods opened his account with 2 well taken goals and Jake Smith got a deserved goal for him and the team to make it 4-0.
A satisfying and confidence boosting result with Yateley looking at their sharpest they have been all preseason, and can now hopefully carry some form into their league campaign.
