YHC M2 won their first game of the season in a prolific 4-1 victory over a 10-man Swanage & Wareham 1st XI.
A fantastic 1st minute break from Craig Boorman gave Chris Ash the opportunity to open his account for the season and put YHC 1-0 up.
Before half time, Boorman assisted again for Jake Smith to double his tally for the season so far and send YHC into half-time with a sold 2-0 lead against a very capable side, 10 men or otherwise.
Yateley's pre-match short corner practice paid dividends, when captain Street (James Gaitskell) pulled out slickly to Chris Ash, who made no mistake in slamming it in the bottom corner.
To top it off, birthday boy Shane Cresswell had surely won a short corner after being played in by James Sealey, but he chose to play on, and absolutely buried his strike in the roof of the net with a screaming effort.
At 4-0, YHC started to lose shape and much their annoyance they failed to convert a short corner with no keeper in the Swanage net, after was sent off for a slide outside of the circle. The 9-man team were able to finally make their aerial threat pay off with a late consolation goal.
