Leighton Buzzard 1-2 Yateley

Whistle blows the start of the game with Leighton pushback. Transferring it round their back line, Leighton push up into Yateley’s half. Maintaining their press, Yateley manage to win the ball and push for a counter attack.

Sadly Lady Luck was not on Yateley’s side, as after several great attempts, Yateley remained goalless. Leighton managed to sneak in a goal from scrambling at the keepers feet.

Moving into the second half, Yateley feel the fire of the missed opportunities and continue the battle. Following a series of Yateley short corners, during open play, a Leighton defender swings for a challenged ball and injured a Yateley player & return injury during the resulting short corner.

After a player from both teams now injured, the motivation sets in and with 8 minutes left, Yateley win their final short corner, and drag flick into the bottom right corner. 1-1. Quickly followed up by an open field goal, making the final score line 2-1.
