Witney 4-4 Yateley

Before the intense matchup between these two sides had even begun records were already being made by a member of the Yateley side, Matt Carter (obviously the son of JC) has set a new club record of the fastest recorded time to witney from Woking, he managed to complete that 1hr50min journey in LESS THAN AN HOUR!!! However, this would be detrimental to him after the game.

Whistle goes. Balls in play, first five minutes pretty even game. Then, Bing! Bang! Boom! Yateley are 4-0 down, how’d this happen?!?!? I don’t know. Blame Louis!

But then.
Who’s that?
Was that?
Yes it was!
Its JAMES WOOLNER!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!!
He’s put it straight through the keepers legs, the accuracy, the skill, the POWER! Who saw that coming?
NO WAY! He’s done it AGAINNN. JAMES WOOLNER bags not 1 but 2 goals for YHC, for the second time this season(I’d argue that its purposeful jug avoidance at this point), bringing the score to 4-2 and single-handedly bringing Yateley back, and giving us the remarkable potential to get some points out of this game

Towards the end of the first half, with Yateley on the rise but Witney still ahead, woodsy manages to score “probably the worst goal i’ll score this season” bringing the score to 4-3 really putting Yateley back in this game.

HALF TIME TALK:
Great talk from the Yateley men’s 2s captain Craig Pearcy perfectly pinpointing exactly where we’re going wrong both as individuals and as a team.
Louis then states in a warning modus operandi “these umpires are looking to give out cards, so don’t do anything stupid and keep it calm”
Everyone agrees

SECOND HALF:
Louis gets the only card for Yateley hockey club on this day. Honestly, it’s atrocious, heinous, monstrous, villainous, and downright preposterous that that man was not Dick of the day. HE GOT A CARD AFTER SAYING NOT TO GET A F*****G CARD!!!! I WAS EARLY, that’s hardly a sin, personally I’d rather be early than late. But I guess that’s just me.
But Liam Cockhead bags the last goal for Yateley making the score 4-4 and a great comeback from the boys in red

Overall summary:
