Yateley 4-5 Trojans

A slow start meant that Trojans led early off the back of a nice shot from the forward. We put the pressure on them for the next 20 minutes, resulting in Piggy winning a short corner. A flick from Dougie into a deflection from Craig Boorman brought the score to 1-1. Keeping the pressure up allowed Craig to slip another past the keeper, bringing the score to 2-1. A quick equaliser followed by a lovely strike by trojans brought the score to 3-2 for Trojans at the half.

Trojans opened well after the break, scoring quickly and leading 4-2. A contested decision just after resulted in Dougie receiving a green card. Piggy won another short corner, and with both Dougie and Woodsy off, the drag flick went to Darren Collins, who converted on his second attempt. Some missed tackles and a shot saw Trojans leading by 2 with 15 to play. Despite having control for most of the remaining time we were unable to convert until a short was won with seconds to go. Darren chose a straight drag that Dougie slotted into the back of the net, resulting in a 5-4 final score.
