How long have you been at Yateley Hockey Club and how did you get involved?: 6 years, after moving from Basingstoke Hockey Club. I played at Basingstoke whilst at school and college, then moved to Yateley. Best move ever.

What is the greatest achievement of the club since you have been a member?: our junior progression in the club is a huge achievement. There's nothing more rewarding than coaching children from a young age, and seeing them make it into the top senior teams.

Any embarrassing hockey stories you would like to share? Trying to take on a goalie, but failed, got wiped out and split my lip open in the process! I wouldn't advise trying it! As a team we have far too many embarrassing moments but Sarah Cox would kill me!

Any memorable away trips? Our trips are usually eventful in some form! One game we drove to Eastleigh, to find the pitch was flooded, and had to drive straight back home again. Another, we got there and realised we forgot the shirts. Don't let Coxy drive though. She thinks Southampton is London direction so you'll never make it!

What is your greatest personal hockey achievement? 6th top goal scorer in the Hampshire Women's Leagues last season.

Where will the club be in 3 years?: playing on our own AstroTurf, and a lot stronger as a club with the skillful juniors we have coming through.

What advice would you give to anyone who wants to improve on their hockey? Stick with it, and don't give up. Practice makes perfect.

From the team members past and present who would be in your dream team and why?:

GK- Kate cooper. Completely fearless in goal

Sweeper: Nicki Smith. Best communication on the pitch, and the best coach I could ask for.

Centre back: Gemma Baugh. Incredibly strong tackles for such a small person!

Right back: Lucy Matthews. Always dependable and never gives up.

Left back: Carole Hunt. Keeps me organised! I'm useless at this.

Left mid: Jenny Douglass. Plays wherever I ask her to and gives 100% every time.

Right mid: Welshy. On pitch Mum to the juniors in our team. Top quality welsh girl!

Centre mid: Mel James. Wouldn't score half as many goals without her!

Centre mid: Ruth Sealey. Never gets tired, and my partner in crime when coaching.

Forward: Me. I like to think I can score, although I do mess it up a few times!

Forward: Jackie Sleigh. The quickest ginger I know!

Subs:
Sarah Cox: Determination and banter. Never a dull moment with this one.

Milly Golightly: improved so much the last 2 years. Probably pushing a 1st XI spot soon.

Manager: Sarah Foley. Too many reasons, but to sum it up. Club Legend.

Cheerleader: Jaynage Davis. When she's not slaving away in the kitchen feeding us, she's our number one fan!
