A Hatrick of ‘learning opportunities’ in the 1s mini tournament

Match 1 vs Winchester
We didn't have the best first 5 minutes, and this was because we tried too hard to match the same intensity and skills shown in the match the week before, this meant that we fell onto the back foot and lost the match. There were moments during the match that we looked the better team and this was when we were playing simple hockey and focusing on our basics. I feel as if we lost composure during this match, and if we are to beat them this weekend we will need to focus on keeping our shape and not running with the ball, staying central and narrow and playing fast paced passing hockey.
Final score was a 3 -1 loss

Match 2 vs Aldershot and Farnham
In this match we improved the pressure in the first ten minutes and we had a good match and held our own however we made a few silly mistakes and got a few goals put past us, we did hold our own though and it was a good match and gives us some positive things to work on.
Final score was a 2-1 loss

Match 3 vs Fleet and Ewshot
We had a good match against these guys, the only problem we found from these was that they were much more clinical in the final third whereas we seemed unable to score, this is the reason we lost, it seemed that every opportunity we had was getting snuffed out, this also gives us an indication that we should have some more attacking practice during training. Final score was a 2-1 loss
