Final flourish is fitting finish....

Yateley 17-0 Gosport

The season has come to an end, proven by the beaming sun... gingers beware!
As usual it took us a little while to get going, but once we started the goals came at regular intervals. Flippa flipping the ball out to the forwards and getting a hat trick (across the whole season, rather than as traditionally in one match!) - Jax taking a few goals of her (and from others!). CJ took advantage of her decreased wind up time and slotted 2 into the net in quick succession, Lyse was on fire with darting runs and shots on goal, Chantal did some more tub thumping as a crowd pleaser....

The game was flowing; the birthday girl, Alice, then scored...a few more and we were on a roll with a healthy 8-0 lead at half time.

In the second half, GK Gill ventured onto the pitch to see what all the fuss was about....some great tackles and passes up to the forwards - who knows what next season will bring for her?! She relented after 15 mins and took up keeper for the oppo to allow their Captain to move into her usual position on pitch.

Dina was keen ...with a switch from right defence to CF at one point - netting her a cracking goal. Laura was almost there...on many occasions, but had to settle for the vital role of play-maker and multiple 'assists'.

Gosport continued to play in fighting spirit and great humour - real respect to them with a young team of such potential during a challenging season.

Bitter sweet final game as we've had a cracker of a season, but it has come to an end :-(. The Prosecco and Picnic was a fitting way to enjoy the team spirit in glorious sunshine - celebrating birthdays and 3rd spot in the table with a magnificent tally of 91 goals this season. #smashedit #winnerswearred #terrificthrees

MoM: CJ and Jax - goal scoring genui with lucky 7 between them!
