Startling Saves from Superstar Salter

Yateley1-1 South Berks

The ladies 2’s took on South Berks for their first friendly match of the season!

From the off we knew it was going to be hard work, as they had a lot experience and age on their side!

We fought well and hard and managed to slot one in from a cracking strike from KJ and neatly slotted in high tap in from Hattie not long before half time.

The girls worked tirelessly and played some lovely short balls to eachother to get round the oppo! Despite our attempts we though couldn’t get another in. We finished half time being 1-0 and they oppo came out fighting harder!!

The defence and Caty in particular made some spectacular saves but sadly they managed to equalise!

As the tension rose, they managed to be awarded a penalty flick which Caty saved, and kept us at 1-1.

All in all we played a good game for our 1st one back and managed to hold the draw..

MOM unanimously went to our super star goalie Caty Salter!

We take on the captains old team next week and will be looking for a comfortable win!
