We obviously had a very relaxing break as it seemed to be a bit of a challenge just to arrange lifts and manage to get everyone to Basingstoke pitch on time for a warm up! But we still
made time for Naomi to show off all her lovely hockey Christmas gifts ( unfortunately her new hockey shoes didn’t help her stay on her feet at all)!

We had a slow first half and unfortunately fell behind 4-0 despite Laura’s best attempt in a short corner sending the ball flying into the goal, but despite all our cheering it didn’t count as it was classed as too high.

We came fighting back in the second half, and played a much better game.

It was a tough match with Basingstoke winning 6-0, but it gave us lots to work and focus on when we get back to training to prepare for the rest of the season.
