Down to the wire, but still unbeaten & TOP of the table!

Yateley 1-1 Chichester

On a beautiful sunny Autumn afternoon, Yateley 3rds took on Chichester at home.

It was a slow start to the game, both sides having possession of the ball and driving it into their D on a number of occasions. Yateley fought extremely hard to keep possession of the ball and received a short corner. The score was SO close... only stopped by a foot on the line, so the umpire called for our first penalty flick for the season and Flippa bravely stepped up for the challenge. An amazing flick was just not enough to score a goal, but such a great attempt.

Despite our hardest efforts Chichester managed to score first with a speedy break.

This made Yateley come back hard in the second half taking back control of the game, Alice in particular smashed it and scored an amazing goal for Yateley, evening the numbers to 1 all. Poor Naomi fell to the floor suffering from a cramp, Yateley appalled by her need for attention left the other team to deal with her, taking the opportunity to regroup. We do love you Naomi x

All ladies worked extremely hard and we managed to keep possession of the ball with a lot of short and long corners but unfortunately time was just not on our side.

We will come back fighting next week and do what Yateley 3rds (team of the month) do best, being super fluid and smashing it!

MOM: Alice for scoring an amazing goal and smashing it!

DOD: Chantal for not being the best ball bag lady there ever was- shame
