Today we played Hamble at home. During the first have, Yateley girls were under a lot of pressure defensively as Hamble used their ball pace and movement well to get the ball around our players and into the D. Hamble had a lot of shots on goal and managed to score 3 goals over the first half. Yateley had some strong opportunities to attack and we were able to win a short corner before half time. Hamble’s keeper was quick to deflect the ball which kept the score 3-0 at half time.

The second half proved to be Yateley’s game. We used our ball pace, changing the direction of the ball, particularly passing back and around, to create more attacking opportunities. Naomi grabbed herself a great goal a few minutes into the second half. Despite loosing our captain half way through the second half due to injury, Yateley girls remained focused and disciplined to ensure they won the second half of the game.

The end score was 3-1 to Hamble. Well done girls!
