On arrival is was soon spotted by Olly G-J, that the Basingstoke team was full of fully grown men with facial hair, but this didn't unsettle any of our Yateley youngsters...

Basingstoke started the game hard and fast, and eventually got a goal to take them 1-0 up. The Flames fought hard from the off also, with some smooth defending and passing round the back, which eventually worked up a lovely through ball to Olly, who slipped it very confidently through the keepers legs taking the Flames to 1 a piece.

We saw some excellent acrobatic gymnastics from Jon, who never fails to amuse from the sideline.

Not too long after the equalizer, from a well deserved short corner, Willy converted with a smashing strike to take the Flames 2-1 up and show Basingstoke that we're back in the game!

Unfortunately, with no subs (due to an injury), the Flames did start to tire in the second half, and Basingstoke managed to steal 2 goals back, leaving the final score at 3-2.

Despite the result, the flames held their heads up high, and fought until the bitter cold end...
