Haslemere 3-10 Yateley Ladies 1s

Yateley arrived at Haslemere in what could be described as tropical sunshine for their match against Haslemere 2s. After a motivating team talk and sharp warm up the ladies began the game strong and in control. After only 1 minute of play, Yateley took an early lead as Emma dibbled into the D and took an early shot. Yateley were dominant in the first half and continued to pile on the pressure resulting in goals, goals, goals! A mixture of short corner conversions and open play magic saw Gemma get a 1st half hat-trick as well as silky goals for both Kealey and Mel. The girls were in control and broke for half time with the score line of 6-0! Jen provided more joy during half time when she discovered some Jelly Babies to refuel and recharge the team!

The second half started slowly for Yateley and Haslemere came out fighting and got an early goal. Yateley were able to respond with some good possession of the ball and created an array of chances. Haslemere continued to pile on the pressure and were able to create more chances and get a couple of goals in quick succession. Yateley responded with calls for more determination and communication. Janette slotted away a shot from close range and Lozza converted a defection on the post after some quick thinking for Gemma. Yateley continued to create chances and ensure pressure all over the pitch Ruth slotted away a cleverly worked chance to make the score 9-3. The game ended with a short corner conversion from Lozza ensuring the game was put to bed with a double figures win for the ladies in red! An excellent all round team effort with great supportive play from the defence and battles all over the pitch being won by Yateley. A convincing and very much deserved 10-3 win. Yateley ladies have now won their last 4 league matches in convincing fashion scoring a total of 28 goals across the 4 games!
