A soggy finish full of pride!

Yateley 0-0 Haselmere

On a very wet Saturday afternoon the Ladies 4s took to the pitch against an experienced Haslemere team. As it was Remembrance weekend both teams, officials and supporters honoured our fallen heroes with a minutes silence prior to the game.

The 4s, with their mix of experience and youth, started the game on a very positive note. There was some great passes and moves between all the team, and the Haslemere keeper was kept quite busy, sadly she wouldn't let the ball go in the goal.

Half time 0-0, soaking wet, but spirits were still high-just keep up this level of play.

The second half started with a more urgent Haslemere team, but the 4s held their ground with good defensive work and some great work from Gill in goal. The positive spirit of the 4s continued through the second half with a good team effort and a few more attempts on goal, but once again the opposition keeper proved her worth.

Final whistle 0-0, with players looking like drowned rats! Special mention must go to the youth in the team this week, Hannah and Rachel in midfield for great persistence and passes, Amber for her gazelle like speed up front and her shots on goal, and Maddie for fantastic defensive work and marking their forward out of the game.
