Match Report: Ladies 3rd XI 9 March

Reading 6-1 Yateley

The 3s had a difficult game this week, we worked really hard but we were playing Reading 7s who are top of the table so we went in knowing it would be tough. We also tried out a new formation with 3 in defence, a diamond in the middle of 4 people and 3 upfront.

Reading played well, moving the ball around and putting out a strong defence, they made good attacks and unfortunately making it 4-0 by half time despite some amazing saves by Zara. Megan almost got a goal just before half time but it was just short of the post.

The second half was definitely better than the first. We started to settle into the match a little more, we then made a break and Megan got a great goal. Reading only managed two more goals, although there were a few injuries in this half, with a total of 3 ice packs being used and Rosie limping off the pitch.

Overall it was a tricky game but we all worked really hard to keep Readings score down. Plus a nice goal from Megan. With a final score of 6-1 Reading.
