Sixth win puts L3s 1 point off the top!!

Yateley 5-0 Windsor

On a chilly yet bright day at the Yateley Hockey Club, the Yateley Ladies 3s took on Windsor 4s in a highly anticipated home game. From the first whistle, both teams showcased their determination and skill, but it was Yateley who dominated the field.

The match kicked off with an early breakthrough as Emily swiftly found the back of the net just six minutes into the game, setting the tone for Yateley’s offensive prowess.

There were chances for Windsor… but foiled by a fab diving block from Skipper, Helen & Flippa saving the rebound shot off the line.

Building on the early momentum, Caroline secured another goal before halftime, ensuring Yateley went into the break with a comfortable lead.

However, the joy was tempered by an unfortunate injury to Flippa, who had to leave the field unable to continue, casting a shadow over the game.

During the halftime interval, Skipper Helen rallied the team with an inspiring talk, motivating them to maintain their intensity in the second half.

Yateley continued their attacking onslaught in the second half, with Nicki adding to the scoreline after her strike was deflected into the goal by an opposition defender. The relentless pressure paid off as India swiftly followed up with another goal, demonstrating Yateley’s depth in attacking options.

Megan delighted the supporters with amazing 3D skills… & sheer brilliance with a solo effort that found the back of the net, further extending Yateley’s lead. Newcomer, Lucy Lewis, was completely unfazed - with great steals & speedy runs to recycle the attacks, much to the despair of the Windsor team.

Despite Windsor’s valiant efforts, Yateley’s defense held firm, ensuring they secured a clean sheet. The final whistle blew, sealing a convincing 5-0 victory for the fabulous Yateley Ladies 3s, marking their sixth consecutive win.

With this impressive performance, Yateley Ladies 3s continue to showcase their dominance in the league, leaving their opponents in awe of their skill and teamwork.

The team now looks ahead with confidence as they aim to maintain their winning streak and further solidify their position just off the top of the table.
