Match Report: 27th Jan Ladies 2nd XI CUP GAME

Yateley 0-1 Haselmere

As we arrived at the pitch we were greeted by a hail storm.

Questioning what we were doing in such catastrophic conditions we were blown to the cage to complete our usual warm up.

We started the game well passing patiently around the d and transferring the ball well across the back by Abi, Alice, Jo and Hils.

Using the width effectively by our inners, the connection between the forwards and midfields got stronger and managed to test the keeper on more than one occasion.

Our opposition played hard and at the end of the first half converted their only good chance with a strong hit at the top of the d.

In the second half Yateley pressed well and put Haselmere under pressure making them commit to the channels and make silly mistakes. Battling through the minor hurricane, the rain and wind didn’t dampen our spirits. We held out for the second half not letting Aldershot pass our defence. Well played by all!
