A cold Saturday morning found the ladies 2’s travelling down to the
new forest. The girls were raring to go off the back of a difficult
two weeks. The game started off well playing the ball around the back and creating space in the midfield to play the ball up high resulting in a short corner.

However, the New Forest came
back fighting and denied our chances at a goal. A quick counter attack resulted in a goal for the New Forest.

A relief as half time came and we were 1-0 down. After a good
team discussion and some changes in positions saw Anna coming back
further than she has been for some years into defence and Lizzie
pushing up. We kept fighting and fighting, however, we just coudn't find the back of the net. Still determined as ever, the Yateley ladies pushed on and started to create some lovely chances
between Hattie and Nat up front.

Unfortunately, the New Forest were just too good in defence and denied us any chances of a goal, resulting in a 2-0 defeat. We go again next week with positive attitudes and determination, we know we can do it!
