This week the Ladies 2s travelled to Havant, for a very early game against their 3a’s who were the place below them in the league.
Despite the early start and Anna forgetting the balls (DOD was sorted early), the game started well with a few attacking passages for the 2s. Havant went ahead about 20 minutes in following a very pacey run down the line. Yateley didn’t let it get to them though and worked hard to get themselves back in the game.

After half time, Yateley came out strong and put the pressure on Havant with a few chances going wide, but chances none the less. 15 minutes into the half Yateley evened things up with a goal from Anna following a nicely worked short corner.

Yateley continued to play well and created a few more good chances but no goals came. The defence played their part, keeping the Havant attack reduced to a small number of chances.

The game ended 1-1, which after a couple of defeats was a good result against a tough opposition. Player of the Match was Alana for her hard work in both defence and attack.
