Tight game, well fought!

Yateley 2-3 Winchester

The sun was out and we were ready for the final game of a cracking season! With the final team talk complete and extra info from Tom, the girls were ready for a hard fought final game.

The match started at a fair pace with Winchester opening the scoring with a well worked fast break. Yateley mastered the half court press and held Winchester to passing the ball in their own half. BOOM, Yateley scores form an awesome run down the line from Kealey; she hugged the baseline, pushed in back to Lozza - Goal. 1-1.

Yateley took this boost and proceeded to apply pressure.

The game became a little frantic, both sides took a card each and we had to regain our composure. Winchester scored :-(.

We responded quickly, Fran tanked the ball into the D, touched a defenders stick and Kealey tapped the ball into the back of the goal! 2-2.

Winchester came back with another goal, 8 mins to go. Pressure mounted. Yateley got into the D - Kealey took a stick to the head and within seconds Jen CG hit the deck after pulling her hamstring. The team was down to 11 and we were not going down without a fight.

The Yateley girls kept Winchester away from scoring with a final score of 2-3 to hold their spot as 4th in the table!
