After a four week break, Yateley 1s started the new year with a great away game against Romsey 2s. Despite only having 11 players and very hard sandy grounds, overall we demonstrated excellent positioning and movement on and off the ball. We were unlucky to concede 2 goals in the first 10 minutes but after some handy work in the D, Becks took a shot on her reverse to go bottom corner. 4-1 down, after a few quick passes in the D, Lauren managed to grab a goal from a rebound ball.

Yateley girls went into the second half 4-2 down but managed to grab another goal with Becks scoring her second goal from a beautifully put wide ball from JCG.

After Beck's bringing the score line to 4-3, the last 10 minutes were our best! The girls upped their pace & calling and created some great opportunities in the D.

Despite hard efforts by Yateley, the overall result was 4-3 to Romsey. Well done Yateley 1s.
