South Berks 6's 5 v 2 Yateley 3s

The mens 3s ‘ team of the month’ headed to South Berks in high spirits however the mood shifted swiftly when South Berks started stronger and as a result were soon one down Despite their best efforts of the Yateley team, South Berks attacked in numbers and scored a second. With the stuffing knocked out of the team South Berks quickly scored a third and then a fourth. This seemed to wake Yateley up and they pushed forward. They had a couple of late short corners resulting in a ball across the d from Willy which was bundled in by Callum and Sam meaning the score at half time was 4-1 to South Berks

After half time Yateley came out meaning business but so did South Berks - who added to their tally with a quick goal after the restart. Despite this Yateley battled in through some bad tempered encounters. Callum battled hard and was taken out leading to a penalty stroke. He stepped up calmly and converted. This galvanised the Yateley attack and they won a number of short corners. Despite their best efforts, the South Berks keeper was equal to them. A much improved second half against a well organised and experienced side.
