Yateley 1-4 Southampton uni

A disappointing result for Yateley's men's 1st XI on Saturday against Southampton university, with a 4-1 loss after 70 minutes of hard work from everyone involved!

With the beloved Piggy scoring Yateley's only goal from a brilliant sweep into goal after a baseline pass. A first time miss for the undefeated short corner routine "Irene" as David Woods stood up to the mark in the absence of the Irene master himself, Mr Dan Jones, who unfortunately was injured earlier that same week at training. He had taken a ball to the hand which broke his finger, making it impossible for him to play!

However, put aside the disappointing result, Yateley played hard and never gave up until that final whistle was blown. Well done Yateley and good luck for the rest of the season.
