The home team went out confidently with a sideline of supports to cheer on the late afternoon sun. Yateley slotted the first goal home early and it felt like the sun would be shining down on Eversley metaphorically as well as literally. BUT, Basingstoke hit back to even the score, and then again to take it to 1-2 at half time.

Yateley made good running attacks, but Basingstoke seemed to up their game, slotting home no. 3 before Yateley fought back to get their 2nd. But Basingstoke had the upper hand and in went 4 and 5 to finish the match at 2-5.
